Tell us a bit about yourself.

I am a 31 year old mother of two wonderful boys and married to an amazing husband for almost 7 years.  We have a 1 yr old dog named Cocoa and a 3 yr old cat named Sadie.  I am currently residing in the Western part of New York.  I work as a part time 1:1 teacher's aide for 3 years and love it.  My shop, Jodi's Craft Emporium, is my other part time job.  I love to craft and make things for others.

 

What is your favorite color?

Green

 

What are your two most and least favorite movies?

Most Favorite:  Day After Tomorrow and Twilight Series. 

My least favorite movies are anything degrading.

 

What are you reading right now?

The Deathly Hallows by JK Rowling.  I just finished "The Shack" by William Paul Young.

What is your favorite Handmade item, either purchased for yourself or received as a gift?

My purse that's made out of an old army coat.

 

What is the first thing you can remember making by hand? How and why did you make it?

I really don't have a favorite handmade item because its too hard to choose.  I love all handmade items.

 

What is the first thing you can remember making by hand? How and why did you make it?  

the first thing I made was a tissue box cover out of plastic canvas.  I made it because I had surgery on both my feet and needed something to do.

Why do you create? 

For the love of creating and it also relaxes me :D

 

What inspires you?

Knowing that who purchased my items loves them.

 

What are your favorite materials?

I am partial to my crochet hook and yarn.

 

Do you sell only online, or do you also sell in shops and/or at craft shows?

I sell online and to friends and co-workers.

 

Any tips for selling Handmade creations online?

Promote always.  If you do not promote, you will not get the business.  It does take a lot of work but in the end it will be all worth it.

 

Apart from creating things, what do you do?

Spend time with my family, gardening, and reading.  Once a month I hang out with my friends and go dancing.
